hello everyone my name is Heidi Hartmann and I would like to thank you all for joining the graduation ceremony for the class of 2020 it is one crazy spring but I'm thankful for the families and friends that are attending this morning to celebrate I would like to start off by thanking the school board administrators teachers and community members who work hard to a knowledge the senior class bring our unexpected break and also for making his graduation ceremony possible teachers and administrators are the type of people that a student will remember their whole lives the many Educators that have been there to teach and in more ways than one are greatly appreciated no matter how many times you've told us to take our shirts in I would like to thank our coaches for instilling values of being on time working hard and pushing to be our very best the coach box thank you for an amazing senior volleyball season I couldn't have asked for a better senior year coach Marley you have been with girls Athletics throughout the entirety of our high school careers and became a mother figure to men we love you parents you are the most influential people in your children's lives although we make it annoyed at time we really do understand that you were looking out for our best interest we appreciate you Andrew ever more than we show it to my parents I know I've been a handful but no matter the circumstances you have provided for me supported my decision cheered me on at hundreds of games and all encouraged me to try my absolute best and be myself you two along with my super cool older sibling who told me to say that are the biggest role models in my life and I love you beyond words who is not just seen as an educational Journey but as a journey of coming together as a community for support and one another over the years I remember as many of us will Clarissa Vargas leaving a circle of Prayer everyone's day at lunch for our classmates Englewood while he was battling cancer we as a community mourn the loss of loved ones including coach Oz who will be remembered by many and who are lucky to have him as a role model and coach during our years we have encountered a lot of emotions and hardships together but we have also encountered victories found our strength created friendships all together this is proof that we have grown even during our Portland senior year the senior year is supposed to be about all of the last the last time you get to play with your teammates the last time you march with your band perform on stage represent our school out of tournament competition even our last chance to get dressed up for prom many of our last did not happen for us but this will not be the last of the class of 2024 we are resilient class as a terminal with a bright future because we know we can overcome any obstacle in life we will take those losses and our victories to give us hope for our future outside of Orange Grove High School this chapter of Our Lives is an but just like any other book it is prepared us for the next chapter what's next class of 2020 is taking a huge leap into adulthood where we can pursue your passions try new and exciting meet people and write our own stories our community knows we are ready our parents teachers and administrators know we are ready above all the graduating lots of 20/20 we are ready congratulations class of 2020
