Principal's Message
Dear OGHS Parents:
Orange Grove High School would like to welcome everyone back for the 2020-2021 school year. This year as we focus on Redesigning Teaching and Learning, we continue to strive for excellence while maintaining SAFETY as a priority. As we work through the effects that the impact of COVID-19 has made in our schools and our community this year, OGISD has taken measures to keep our students, parents and community members safe. We ask that ALL guests wear a mask/shield and practice social distancing while attending any of the extra-curricular school events.
With the changes brought on by COVID-19 this year, our teachers and students have experienced a change from the traditional classroom to remote online classrooms/instruction. As the campus works through the challenges that remote learning presents, the primary responsibility for OGHS will continue to be student success. Moving forward, OGHS students will have the same opportunities to be challenged through their academic classes, music, drama, technology, business, foreign language, Family Consumer Science, Agriculture and athletic classes either through face to face instruction or remote online instruction.
Orange Grove High School has experienced a tradition of excellence in both academics and extra-curricular activities. One of our greatest strengths is the pride and support provided by our parents, community, and business partners. We continue to strive for success and ask for your continued support as we move through these challenging and trying times in education. We welcome your involvement, ideas, suggestions and concerns as we work to provide the best possible education to the students of the Orange Grove community.
Respectfully,
Gil Salazar
Orange Grove High School Principal
