11th graders incoming 11th graders that's is a little different this year or so, and explain to you the coffee that you need to sign up for this year is going to be on so I'm going to go through with you of the courses that you have to sign up for and then some alternate classes if you can sign up for there is going to be a link online that's going to say click here to make your core next year there will be a day to get it done by and it has to be done by that day and if it's not then I will have to make your selections for you and you will not be able to schedule changes on that until before we can also one thing make sure that when you sign up for your closet you choose the eight classes that you want and that you need and when is the minute you will not be able to make any changes to that so I will be creating a schedule for you off of that and you will not be able to change it until we are allowing schedule changes later so just be mindful of that on the form that you have to complete you're going to need to put your name and your email on it and then you're going to check your AC boxes and then your parent needs to type their name at the bottom okay but still over the regular classes that you need to there are core classes that are required and then we'll discuss the advanced schedule so a normal regular schedule would be a story you asked his chemistry if you took IPC as a sophomore you wouldn't sign up for chemistry at the junior but if you took chemistry as a sophomore your normal class would be physics as a junior now math. It's a little tricky everybody should have Algebra 1 and geometry credit already so your junior year you need to decide if you're going to take math model or jump into Algebra 2 if you we generally say if you're not a very strong nasty. We recommend taking math models as a junior and then that way your senior year you can take Algebra 2. That's what we recommend also I said Junior are you should be taking Spanish too because you should already have your Spanish 1 credits if you would need to finish it off with Spanish to now if you took Spanish one as a freshman and sophomore so you do not need to worry about Spanish at the junior unless you're going to be okay so when the advance for your English credit you would have two choices you're going to have either so credit history which is listed here pre AP English 3 with I left off at this but just know that we do have a prayer to English 3 offering also for the advanced route so you can choose either pre AP or dual credit English now know if you're going to do dual credit English 3 there are requirements that need to be done so you're going to need to get with me on registering through the college and things like that and there are some CSI testing requirements that need to be done so if you have questions about that you can get with me for the history selection is going to be the pre AP US History now you can choose to do dual credit US History through Coastal Bend if you meet the requirements also so just know that you can choose the door credit US history but your dance with the pre AP u.s. History on our campus if you do go credit US History it would have to be online or in the evening okay for the advance you would choose pre AP Physics for the math Advanced you would do pre-ap Algebra 2 if you pre-ap geometry as a junior or the free MP3 top they're both safe the same thing if that's the one that's a little bit faster but they both offered it's an extra point now that lady of dance foreign language I spoke to you about if you've already had Spanish 1 and 2 you can choose to take dual-credit Spanish 3 high school campus in three shoes athletic or PE Art Van 3 applied music but remember you'll need mr. Edison's approval to be an applied music jazz band if you're in jail then you must be on dance music with approval by Miss Lundquist you would need to probably email Miss linquist and then she'll need to email me saying that she apriso yearbook approval by mr. saying something. It may surprise us some require who brought interpersonal studies which remember that is a requirement for graduation you need to take it sometime before you graduate computer programming is also a requirement for how do I say that you'll have to have some time throughout your four years of high school family and community services and there's all kinds of different electives under family and Community Services dog sleeping you elected that we are offering this year than human growth and development culinary arts 2-hour block add structural design and Fabrication. Is your 2-hour welding wire 36 intro to add method metal your sophomore year you can go into the structural design and Fabrication as business management and marketing Professional Standards of a business professional communication with half your courses small animal management / equine courses equal to full credit livestock production Wildlife fisheries and ecology Floral Design remember Floral Design is an elective but it also can count as a Fine Arts Credit if you do not want to take part or if you're not going if you're not in Van World will count as an art credit web design is a new elective course we're going to be offering this year at the high school for really excited about that so you're going to have that option to take required courses for graduation to size York or I'm just going to repeat it one more Peoria Aquatics one credit with everybody should have gotten their freshman year Fine Art one credit not to be banned it can be ours for it to before tell Flash personal studies is half a credit so he took Health in the 8th grade that does count if not we have interpersonal studies at the high school which is a half credit there's a house credit that you have to have if you some people succeed and how did that does not count for speech credit at the high school and then a computer programming class this is confusing because some students think that they took the computer class in freshman year with that would have been that class is not computer programming and that class will not count so you will need a computer programming class so those are our courses that we offer remember you messages 8 and please submit that by the deadline thank you and we look forward to seeing you next school year
