Orange Grove Sports Medicine

Welcome to the OG Sports Medicine Page!
Orange Grove Athletics Department has partnered with the Cody Stephens Memorial Go Big or Go home Foundation to offer free heart screening to all Orange Grove athletes in 6th-12th grade. The screening will be held on February 27th with Jr High athletes being tested in the morning and High school athletes tested in the afternoon.
Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) is the leading cause of death in exercising young athletes. The underlying cause of SCD is structural cardiac abnormalities which presence is usually unknown to the athlete. EKG testing is the best way to identify these abnormalities. The Cody Stephens Memorial Foundation offers free EKG testing which are read by board certified Cardiologist with results returned within three days.
We highly recommend all athletes to take this opportunity to get tested. A  consent form and FAQ is located on the right under the Sports Medicine Links Tab. Please fill out the consent form  and turn them into Coach T, or your building secretary, whether you are opting in or opting out of the testing by February 13th.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns at (620) 931-5235 or Thank you!
Athletic Pre-Participation Paperwork
